David was born in Edmonds, Washington,
on June 11, 1966. He had a very typical childhood, filled with hunting
and skiing in the winter and dirt-bike riding, camping and fishing with
his dad in the summer.
In 1986 he joined the United State Navy
where he proudly served for the next six years. David is a veteran
of Desert Storm and currently serves in the Navy Reserve. He is
a member of Inshore Boat Unit 11 based in Everett, Washington. Being
a part of the military is one of the most important things in David's
life ~ right behind his family, and of course, winemaking.
David has two children, Stachia and Davy,
and a Vizsla named Starr. They are all excellent helpers in the
winery.
Those who know David well were not surprised
when he became a winemaker. His curious nature keeps him always
trying to figure out how things happen and once he fell in love with wine,
it was only natural that he began making some. He started as a hobby
winemaker but it wasn't long before David became obsessed with starting
a winery. He studied winemaking at UC Davis, and you're likely
to run into him at a wine-related class these days, too. David likes
to stay on top of winemaking trends.
David is thrilled to have the opportunity
to locate the winery in Woodinville. He looks forward to meeting
you and sharing his wine. Cheers!
